What is e-Services Portal?

e-Services Portal is the front door to Directorate General Immigration and Passports’ online services for Pakistani citizens around the world. You can use e-Services Portal to:

  • Apply for Passport Renewal if it has been expired or you want to extend the validity of your current passport.

 

Why should I choose e-Services Portal?

  • It’s fastQuickly apply online in simple steps and once your documentation is complete, your passport will be ready for shipment.
  • It’s convenient. Apply for renewal of your machine readable passport from the comfort of your home or office, anywhere in the world, at any time, on any modern browser connected to the Internet. No special software is required.

 

How does this online service work?

The e-Services Portal allows you to easily renew your machine readable passport in 3 simple steps:

  • STEP 1: Registration

Register an account on the e-Services Portal. You can access it using the Get Started button on the homepage. You need to give a valid mobile number and email address for account verification.

  • STEP 2: Fee Submission

Here you will be asked to pay your fee at the start of the application. We accept all major Credit Cards/Debit Cards.

  • STEP 3: Online Application

Complete your application and make sure all provided information is correct. Upload your photograph, fingerprints and supporting documents. Instructions on how to upload are available on the homepage under renewal application category.
And you are done!
Your Application will be processed by Directorate General Immigration and Passports and the machine readable passport shall be delivered through your chosen Delivery Option. You may be contacted in case any further information is required.

NOTE: The applicant may be required to visit the nearest passport office if the authorities require to conduct applicant’s interview. The applicant is required to select the nearest passport office while filling in the application.

 

Why am I being asked to select the nearest passport office in the application?

An applicant is required to select the convenient/nearest passport office for he/she may be called by the authorities for an interview. In this case the interview shall be conducted in the passport center opted by the applicant.

How will I know if I have completed a section of the application?

A check-mark will appear on the section-tab that has been completed.

 

Where can I review the information I provided? 

You can review the information as the last step (before application submission) or you can go back to a previous section at any point whilst completing the application. This can be done by clicking the ‘BACK’ button at the end of each section.

Once all sections are complete you will be able to review all of the information you have given. However, once you ‘Submit’ your application you will not be able to make any further changes.

 

I need help with filling out my application. Where do I go? 

The e-Services Portal application displays helpful information next to each information field. You will also find guidance at the complete walk through of the application and in the guides available on the website.

 

What will happen if I ‘Submit my Application’ before all the information has been provided? 

e-Services Portal application will automatically check for completeness of your application. If it is incomplete, the system will not let you submit your application and direct you to provide the missing information.

 

How do I save my application?

The System saves the information section before moving to the next section. Alternatively, you can also save it manually by clicking the ‘SAVE’ or “ SAVE and EXIT”  button at the bottom of the screen.

 

I completed my application but haven’t received any confirmation from department. Did the department get my application?

A confirmation email upon successful submission of your application is automatically sent to your provided email address. The email might end up in your Junk Mail folder.

 

Can Applicant under the age of 15 years get a machine readable passport with validity up to 10 years?

No, the applicants under the age of 15 years are only eligible to get a machine readable passport with a validity period up to 5 years.

 How do I pay the Application Fee?

You can pay the application fee online at e-Services Portal using a credit/debit card.

 

Can I pay with someone else’s credit/debit card?

You can also pay by someone else’s credit/debit card, but not without consent of the card owner.

 

Is there cash on delivery option available?

No, cash on delivery is not an available option. The only available option for payment is through debit/credit card.

I have registered my account with wrong Email/mobile number. What should I do?

You can re-register your account with accurate email/mobile number. You have to provide new email ID.

 

What is the username and password for logging in?

You will be allowed to create a login username and password when you register your account. Please use the same credentials to login.

NOTE: Users already registered in Pak-identity system can log in from their registered Pak-identity credentials i.e. “Username” and “Password”.

 

What should I do if I have forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password, please use the “forget password” link on the e-Services Portal login page.

 

Can I change my password?

Yes, you may change your password by using the ‘Change Password’ option after logging into e-Services Portal.

 

What should I do if I suspect that my password has been stolen or exposed to others?

If you suspect that your password has been stolen or exposed to others, please change your password immediately.

Which browsers are supported by the e-Services Portal Application?

e-Services Portal reliably supports the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 11
  • Chrome 40 and above
  • Firefox 39 and Above
  • Opera Latest version

 

Why can’t I access e-Services Portal on low resolution screen?
To make the user experience as smooth and clean as possible, e-Services Portal enforces certain restrictions. One of these restrictions is preventing the use of low resolution screens to access the system. Please use a system with a minimum screen resolution of 1280 x 720.

What do I do if I face a problem or a difficulty while launching through e-Services Portal Application?

Fingerprint form meets specifications i.e. 600 dpi, 3MB size, but I am still unable to upload the fingerprint form?

If you are facing fingerprints form uploading problem even after the fulfillment of the specifications of 600 dpi scanner’s setting and less than 3 MB file size. You can re-try by following the below mentioned instructions.

  • Download the form from the link available on the Fingerprint section
  • Take fingerprint impressions on the form
  • Scan the form by setting scanner at 600 dpi in greyscale (and not converted to 600 dpi through a software e.g. Photoshop etc.)
  • ensure that the File size: no more than 3 MB and the file type is JPEG/JPEG/PNG
  • Upload the fingerprint form on the online application.
  • Continue with the application submission on e-Services Portal.

 

 

I am facing the issue regarding the payment of fees through credit card. What should I do?

In this situation you should send below mentioned information to mrponline@dgip.gov.pk :

I am unable to upload/download the documents. What should I do?

You can update your browser to the following recommended browsers and try again.
