Renew Your Machine Readable Passport
You may apply your machine readable passport online.
NOTE: If the passport has not yet expired but has 12 months or less validity, the applicant can still apply in renewal category (both inland and overseas) to acquire a machine readable passport with the extended validity of the passport i.e. 5/10 years.
The applicant may be required to visit the nearest passport office if the authorities require to conduct applicant’s interview . The applicant must select the nearest passport office while filling in the application.

Once you have registered and prepared with you the photograph and supporting documents, you are ready to apply online for your machine readable passport.
- Create an application for passport and provide details of your application.
NOTE: Children under 15 years of age will be issued their Machine readable passport having 05 years validity.
- Provide your address for machine readable passport delivery.
NOTE: Currently the home delivery option is only available for only Overseas Pakistanis in a limited number of countries.
- Pay Fee through a Credit Card/Debit Card.
NOTE: DGI&P has a NO REFUND POLICY against any application initiated/submitted for issuance of machine readable passport. Applicant is requested to thoroughly review information and guidelines provided in the website
- Provide your present and permanent addresses.
- Upload your photograph.
- Upload the supporting documents required by the application.
NOTE: If the applicant is a minor , uploading the Attestation Form for Minors, duly filled, is MANDATORY.
NOTE: If the applicant belongs to Government / Public Sector / Autonomous Body, uploading No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from respective department is MANDATORY.
- Download the form, capture the 4 fingerprints asked by the system. Set the scanner at 600 DPI, JPEG/JPG and Grayscale. Scan and upload the form.
- Review the information you provided, sign the declaration and then submit the application.
